We support new and prospective business owners with a process called EduMentoring. EduMentoring creates an environment where small groups can be mentored, while gaining skills in management and entrepreneurship. It is an interactive environment where experience meets young ambition. Members participate in sharing their current professional paths. Leaders share deep experience and guidance with the objective of developing fresh business minds.
Micro Giants refers to small businesses that make a huge impact on the American economy. Together, businesses classified as "small" (under 500 employees), employ over half of all workers. They also create a disproportionate number of new jobs, and create a large number of innovations and new products.
Micro Giants is partnering with Oak Valley College, but is not an academic course. Attendance at Oak Valley is not a requirement for membership. We intended to supplement a business education with real world issues and specific advice for those considering or starting a business.
COSTS: Micro Giants is very low cost. It does not provide income for leaders. Members are encouraged to pay $5 per meeting. As it can be afforded, more is welcome to support the program's materials.
